Patrington Haven Leisure Park was opened by Graham Sparkes in 1984 and is still, to this day, owned and operated by the Sparkes family. Originally, the Park was known as RAF Patrington which opened during the Second World War in 1942 and was a radar station, used for ground-controlled interception. The RAF base stood empty for many years until the vision to develop ‘a garden in the country holiday park’ was underway in 1984.
